Pregnancy Care

Physiotherapy safely relieves pain, restricted movement and loss of normal function during pregnancy.

Many women present for Physiotherapy during pregnancy with pain and restricted function and movement. It is very easy to ignore aches during pregnancy and dismiss them as part of your condition.

In reality there is much that can be done to prevent pains getting worse with a growing bump and of course, the postnatal period is not the time to be trying to resolve these aches. You will most definitely have enough to do then!

In the following videos, we have put together some information on the common conditions in pregnancy that respond very well to physiotherapy. These conditions include:

  • Upper spine pain (thoracic pain)
  • Low back pain and sciatica
  • Rib pain
  • Neck and postural pains
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP)
  • Bladder issues during and after pregnancy

Physiotherapy can be a great help during pregnancy as it relieves pain without the need for medication, it is non-invasive and can be tailored to you and your stage of pregnancy.

We can safely treat many painful conditions and show you easy exercises to continue with during your pregnancy to keep those niggles at bay.
